Goteborg's Singoalla lemon cookies come from Sweden and are available at Ikea for three 6.7-ounce (190g) roll of cookies for $4.
Each cookie features a dollop of lemon-lime filling on top and a thin layer of vanilla-flavored creme between two vanilla cookies.
The result is like an Golden Oreo but with less creme and a burst of sweet, tart lemon-lime flavor in the center.
I like these a lot. The lemon-lime filling is very refreshing especially in the summer and adds a bit of chewy, gummy texture to the cookie. I think I need to go to Ikea more.

Ike's is not selling these any more. They are not carrying any food that does not have their name on it. Sniff!
ReplyDeleteSingoalla sounds like a bacteria.
ReplyDeleteViewing "foreign" fare, especially of the dessert-type snack-type stuff it generally appears to my warped mind that the portion size indicates that the one eating the stuff is expected to nibble on the stuff and to eat only a small amount per sitting.
ReplyDeleteUnlike the typical bulbous bloated USA consumer who thinks nothing of eating a horridly huge amount of the fattening stuff at one sitting.
One area of comparison is the package size. So often the USA "built" cookies can be bought in multi-pound packages as compared to the "petite-sized" packages the foreign fare sells in.
Yeah, a subjective comparison based upon limited data but I have seen many foreign offerings at Big Lots and other outlets where the packages are relatively small then I plod over to Food4Less and see locally-made 3-pound cookie containers selling like..... 3-pound containers of cookies by our herd of local wallowing waddlers with innumerable rolls of lard draping their inner; very deep within, deeper still, slim, trim skeleton barely supporting trillions of fat cells.
Sadly, to avoid the same fate, I shun nibbling upon even ONE tasty cookie.
It is a radish for me. During a full-blown eating episode a half-cucumber.
Yes, I dream of yummies at night.
I believe it was 1.89 for one package. They have some other flavors too. raspberry and I think maybe blueberry.
