Review: Chipotle Secret Menu - Quesarito

Among one of the more interesting "secret"/"off-menu" items at Chipotle, the Quesarito takes another secret menu item, the Quesadilla, and wraps it into a burrito. Neat right?
I'm not sure if it's supposed to cost the price of a Quesadilla ($2.75) plus a Burrito ($6.10 for steak) but they only charged for the price of the burrito.

The use of the quesadilla gives the burrito a nice crisp sear as well as a solid layer of cheesy goodness. The cheese cools pretty fast though and isn't as gooey as some may like but I like it.

The filling is, as always, however you choose to build it. In this case, I went with steak, corn salsa, cilantro-lime rice, and black beans. You can also opt for more cheese in the filling if you so choose. Between the cheese and the crisp sear, along with the normal accouterments, I like Chipotle's Quesarito quite a bit.

  1. I ate at Chipotle once and never going back there again - too little of ingredients for overpriced price.

  2. Chipotle burritos are huge, and at under $7 at most locations (I'm in NYC, and food doesn't get much more expensive anywhere else), it's a pretty good bargain. I'm a big guy, and I usually can't finish a whole burrito in a sitting. Maybe a 400-pound person would think Chipotle portions are too small. . .
