News: Subway - Bread Now with Vitamin D and Calcium
In an effort to improve the health content of their bread and their healthy options in general, Subway is now fortifying its bread with calcium and Vitamin D.
To be specific, each 6-inch serving of bread now provides 30% of the daily recommended value of calcium and 20% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin D which is equivalent to what's contained in a glass of milk.
This just feels wrong to me. Why not eat actual foods that contain vitamins than bleached and processed food injected with artificial nutrition. I love me some fast food but geeze why do they have to pretend it is good for you?
As long as they don't increase the price, I'll take some free vitamin d and calcium. Maybe that's just me, but why not?
ReplyDeletewell it looks like i no longer need to dip my BMT(on wheat) into a bowl of milk.
