News: Starbucks - New Bistro Boxes

Starbucks has a new, convenient option for lunch-on-the-go (or for picnicking!) with their new Bistro Boxes which come in entree or snack size (at $6.95 and $4.95 respectively).

The boxes come in resealable, clear compartmentalized packages that gives you a bit of flexibility for "now-and-later" eaters like myself.

The entrees are available in the following varieties and come with a small piece of dark chocolate for dessert:

Chipotle Chicken Wraps: Whole-wheat tortillas with white chicken strips, pepper jack cheese, lime-cilantro slaw and tomato avocado salsa for filling.

Sesame Noodles: A sesame noodle salad tossed with broccoli florets, carrots, red peppers, sugar snap peas and a creamy peanut dressing with a cucumber carrot salad, sesame peanuts and baked tofu with a lightly spiced lime glaze on the side.

Chicken Lettuce Wraps: Red lettuce leaves for wrapping and a Cantonese-inspired chicken filling. It's served with chopped peanuts, a mix of fresh vegetables (cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, cilantro) and a peanut sauce.

Salumi & Cheese: Slow‐cured prosciutto and traditional peppered salami paired with Asiago cheese, rustic crackers and marinated Greek olives.

The snack-sized Bistro Boxes are available in the following varieties:

Tuna Salad: Albacore Tuna blended with fresh carrots, celery and relish, served with whole grain crackers, Cheddar cheese, and blanched baby green beans garnished with grape tomatoes.

Protein: A hard‐boiled cage free egg, sliced tart apples, grapes, and white Cheddar cheese served with multigrain muesli bread and honeyed peanut butter.

Chicken & Hummus: Traditional chick pea hummus and grilled chicken served with grape tomatoes, freshly sliced carrot and cucumber sticks and whole wheat pita halves.

Cheese & Fruit: Brie, Gouda and two year‐aged Cheddar cheese plus 9‐grain crackers, green apple wedges and a mix of roasted almonds and dried cranberries.
