The price of the burrito is an easy-on-the-wallet 99 cents.
The coffee in the picture is Seattle's Best. Apparently, Taco Bell is going the route of Subway and Burger King in serving the Starbucks-owned brand. It was 99 cents for the cup which is about average and it was a decent cup of morning-pick-me-up.
The burrito was decent but pretty plain. I guess you can gussy it up with the sauce packets but as given, it's pretty plain. The sausage provides a decent savory flavor but I was hoping for something more in the way of seasoning. The cheese fits in quite well providing some gooey-ness and necessary flavor. The eggs were nice and fluffy.
The Sausage and Egg Burrito isn't poorly done or anything, just very plain. I think the addition of some Fiesta Salsa (pico de gallo) would have made it more interesting and put a little more Taco Bell in it.
You're right, I love a good breakfast burrito. This one seems boring and small, but for a buck it doesn't look like the worst thing in the world.
ReplyDeletei'd eat it
ReplyDeleteOne of the positives for me is that it was piping hot. Definitely gave me a jolt awake.
