Panda Express Unveils Chinese Spare Ribs

Panda Express unveils new, limited time Chinese Spare Ribs, bring back pork to the menu. The new ribs are inspired by char siu pork, a type of Chinese barbecued pork known for its red color.

Specifically, Panda Express' new Chinese Spare Ribs are marinated and slow-cooked before being finished in a wok with a Chinese barbecue sauce. The sauce features sesame oil, mirin (a sweet rice wine), red chili bean paste, garlic, and red peppers.

The ribs are available at participating Panda Express locations through July 28, 2015.

You can buy it a la carte starting at $4.95 (may vary) for a small serving (it counts as a premium entree along with steak and shrimp; a regular entree al carte starts at $3.70). It's also available in a bowl or plate starting at $7.05 for the bowl (there's a $1.25 upcharge for the ribs). There's about five ribs per single serving.
