The pizza is so named because it includes over-sized pepperoni and sausage compared to their regularly available pepperoni and sausage. Besides the giant meats, the pizza is also topped with Italian sausage.
While Papa John's limited-time specials are normally offered as a 14" large pizza, true to the "XL" in its name, the new pizza comes as a 16" extra-large pizza.
The XL Monster Toppings pizza is available through October 25, 2015.
