Buffalo Wild Wings Introduces New Hand-Breaded, Beer-Battered Chicken Sandwiches and Tenders

Buffalo Wild Wings adds new hand-breaded, beer-battered chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders.

The new chicken sandwiches come in two varieties: the Southern Chicken Sandwich and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich.

The Southern Chicken Sandwich features a beer-battered chicken breast with Swiss cheese, bacon aioli, Napa slaw, and pickles, on a challah bun.

The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich consists of a beer-battered chicken breast smothered in Nashville hot sauce served with Napa slaw, Fresno Chile peppers, ranch dressing, and pickles on a challah bun. The Nashville hot sauce is also available on wings.

Hand-Breaded Tenders are beer-battered chicken strips that come with a choice of sauce or seasoning and are served with a side of fries.

Both the chicken breast from the sandwiches and the chicken tenders are beer-battered with Lagunitas IPA, which was ultimately chosen by the Buffalo Wild Wings culinary team out of eight beer-battered variations for its "balanced flavor."

According to the chain, "the higher alcohol volume in the IPA creates a unique coating and a hand-breaded chicken product that’s crispy on the outside, while remaining flavorful and juicy on the inside."
