Taco Bell Tests New Toasted Breakfast Burritos and $5 Breakfast Box Combo

Taco Bell looks to increase their grilled breakfast burrito offerings with a test of somewhat new Toasted Breakfast Burritos in the Nashville, TN area. They are also testing a new $5 Breakfast Box combo meal in the same area.

The new Toasted Breakfast Burritos come in three varieties, two of which are taken from current breakfast items:

The Hash Brown Toasted Breakfast Burrito is new and features a choice of bacon of sauce plus eggs, nacho cheese sauce, three-cheese blend, and a hash brown, wrapped up and toasted/grill-pressed in a flour tortilla. It's available by itself for $1.99 or with a hash brown and medium fountain drink for $4.19.

The Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito takes the current menu Grande Scrambler Burrito (a double portion of eggs, a choice of bacon, sausage, or steak, three-cheese blend, Fiesta Potatoes, and pico de gallo, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla) from the regular menu and then toasts/grill-presses it. You can buy the bacon or sausage version a la carte for $2.79 or as part of a combo with a hash brown and medium fountain drink for $4.99 (if you want steak, it's $3.49 a la carte and $5.69 in a combo).

The Cheesy Toasted Breakfast Burrito is just a renamed Grilled Breakfast Burrito (eggs, nacho cheese sauce, and a choice of sausage, bacon, or Fiesta Potatoes, wrapped in a flour tortilla and then toasted. Like the Grilled Breakfast Burrito, you can get it for a buck.

The $5 Breakfast Box marks the first time that Taco Bell is offering a $5 Box for breakfast and includes a Hash Brown Toasted Breakfast Burrito, 2-pack of Cinnabon Delights, hash brown, and medium fountain drink.

The test is slated to run through mid-September 2019.
