El Pollo Loco Offers New Chicken Tamale Bowls and Chicken Pozole Verde for the Holidays

El Pollo Loco brings back handmade Chicken Tamales for the holiday season and is featuring in new Chicken Tamale Bowls. Also new for this year are Chicken Pozole Verde and Mexican Hot Chocolate.

Chicken Tamale Bowls come in three combinations: Two Chicken Tamales, Tamale & Chopped Chicken Breast, and Tamale & 2-piece Leg & Thigh.

Each bowl includes a bed of rice and pinto beans plus one or two tamales covered in enchilada sauce and sprinkled with cilantro and queso fresco.

Each tamale features grilled chicken simmered in red chile sauce surrounded by a shell of masa.

Chicken Pozole Verde takes flame-grilled chicken and hominy and slow-simmers in a tomatillo broth with garlic, onion, and chile.

Mexican Hot Chocolate consists of Abuelita chocolate, spiced with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla, topped with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon-sugar.

The chain is also offering a limited-time $20 Holiday Family Dinner that includes eight pieces of leg and thighs, three large sides, tortillas, and salsa.
