Ben & Jerry's Launches New Topped Ice Cream So-Named for a Top Layer of Chocolaty Ganache

Citing inspiration from ice cream sundaes, Ben & Jerry's launches new Topped ice cream in seven varieties. The line of ice cream is so named because each pint comes with a top layer of semi-soft, chocolaty ganache.

The seven new flavors are:

- Whiskey Biz -  Brown butter bourbon ice cream with blonde brownies and whiskey caramel swirls topped with white chocolatey ganache and white fudge chunks.

- Chocolate Caramel Cookie Dough - Chocolate ice cream with caramel swirls and small clumps of chocolate chip cookie dough, topped with caramel cups and chocolaty ganache.

- PB Over the Top - Chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirls and peanut butter cups, topped with mini peanut butter cups and chocolaty ganache.

- Salted Caramel Brownie - Vanilla ice cream with salted caramel swirls and fudge brownies, topped with caramel cups and chocolaty ganache.

- Strawberry Topped Tart - Sweet cream ice cream with strawberry swirls and pie crust pieces, topped with white chocolaty ganache and candy sprinkles.

- Thick Mint - Mint ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls and mint chocolate cookie balls, topped with chocolate cookies and chocolaty ganache

- Tiramisu - Mascarpone ice cream with fudge swirls and shortbread pieces, topped with espresso fudge chunks and chocolaty ganache

While Ben & Jerry's Topped line is new to us in the US, it's been offered in the UK and parts of the EU for several years now (since 2017).

Topped flavors can be found at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to 5.49 (which is the same as their regular ice cream pints).
