Krispy Kreme Celebrates Last Supermoon of 2021 with New Strawberry Supermoon Donut for One Day Only on June 24, 2021

Krispy Kreme celebrates the last "supermoon" of 2021 by offering the new Strawberry Supermoon Donut for one day only on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at participating locations across the US.

Krispy Kreme's new Strawberry Supermoon Donut features a donut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in Strawberries and Kreme icing, and topped with graham cracker "moon dust."

The Strawberry Supermoon Donut will be available for purchase individually on June 24, 2021 as well as in a special assorted dozen with 6 Strawberry Supermoon Donuts and 6 Original Glazed Donuts, while supplies last. If you're worried about them running out, the special dozen can be pre-ordered through 12PM on June 23, 2021.

A supermoon is a full moon that appears when the moon is closest in its elliptical orbit to the Earth and therefore appears bigger and brighter than usual. Thursday's supermoon is called a "strawberry moon" not because of its color (which won't be pink but will probably be closer to yellow) but because it's happening in June, when according to the Farmers Almanac, the certain Native American tribes in North America knew it to be prime strawberry season.
