Wendy's Reveals New Ghost Pepper Ranch Dipping Sauce with July 12, 2021 Launch Date

Wendy's plans to add another level of heat to their Spicy Chicken Nuggets with the upcoming release of new Ghost Pepper Ranch dipping sauce.

According to the chain, the new dipping sauce (which also pairs well with fries) rates an 8 out of 10 on their spicy heat scale (which they put as "somewhere between Tabasco sauce and a Habanero pepper"). In comparison, Spicy Chicken Nuggets and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich rate a "7" on the same scale ("similar to Tabasco sauce").

The new sauce comes about as mainstream tastes have gravitated towards more spicy heat. Whether the new Ghost Pepper Ranch dipping sauce sticks around permanently or will only be available for a limited time depends on customer response.

Wendy's previously offered a ghost pepper sauce for a limited time as part of the Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich and on Jalapeno Ghost Pepper Fries back in 2015.
