First introduced in 2019 and returning for the fourth time, Chipotle's Carne Asada features marinated steak that's seasoned on the grill with a "signature" spice blend that includes cumin, coriander, garlic, and oregano. After cooking, it's sliced (rather than cubed like the chain's regular steak) and finished with fresh-squeezed lime and chopped cilantro.
Prices vary, but at my local Chipotle in Los Angeles, a Carne Asada Burrito Bowl costs $13.10, while a Steak Burrito Bowl is $11.70 (a Chicken, Veggie, or Sofritas Bowl is cheapest at $9.95).
In other news, Chipotle marks the start of football season by introducing its "Wear Your College Football Jersey" promotion on Monday, September 15, 2025, after 5PM (local time). During the promotion, you can get a buy-one-get-one-free deal on any entree if you show up wearing a college football jersey,
Finally, as a launch promo for the return of Carne Asada, through Tuesday, September 30, 2025, you can redeem a $0 delivery fee offer on all Carne Asada orders placed through the Chipotle website or mobile app.
