New Chicken Tenders Arrive at Wendy's

A box of Wendy's Chicken Tenders.
Wendy's launches new Chicken Tenders (or "Tendys" as they're colloquially calling them, as the term happens to rhyme with the chain's name) as a new core menu item. The tenders are joined by six new dipping sauces.

The new chicken strips are described as "flavor-packed and savory, made with seasoned, crispy breading and juicy, all-white-meat chicken." The new dipping sauces include:

  • Wendy's Signature - A "creamy sauce with hints of black pepper, hot sauce, and tons of savory goodness."
  • Sweet Chili - A "Sweet and subtly spicy sauce with a touch of tang, including notes of sriracha, garlic, and ginger."
  • Scorchin' Hot - A "creamy hot sauce with a heat that builds."
  • Creamy Ranch - "Extra creamy and extra rich."
  • Honey BBQ - "A little bit sweet, a little bit smoky."
  • Honey Mustard - "Sweet honey and lightly tangy mustard with a rich Dijon flavor."

Wendy's Chicken Tenders are available now at locations nationwide. They can be purchased in three- or four-piece orders, which include two dipping sauces. Combo meals and a Kid's Meal (with two pieces and a dipping sauce) are also available.

Prices vary, but three tenders cost $5.39 at my local Wendy's in Los Angeles, while four tenders cost $7.19.

Wendy's has offered chicken tenders before. They were introduced in 2017 and discontinued in 2019.
