Dunkin' Donuts Adds New Americano and Winter Frosted Donut

Dunkin' Donuts welcomes 2017 with the new Americano as well as the new Winter Frosted Donut.

It seems like Dunkin' Donut is staggering their release of espresso-based beverages made with already-stocked ingredients for whatever reason. In 2015, they introduced the Macchiato, which was basically a layered latte, and this year, they've put out the Americano as a permanent menu item. It consists of two shots of espresso with hot water (basically the espresso version of drip-brewed coffee).

As a bonus, from January 16 through January 29, 2017, members of their DD Perks loyalty program will receive 30 bonus points with each purchase of any size Americano (200 points are needed to redeem for a free drink).

The new, limited-time Winter Frosted Donut is a yeast ring donut dipped in winter blue-colored icing and drizzled with white icing.
