The premise is that you can get "all the flavor of a cheeseburger with none of the guilt." The addition of the mushrooms should make for a juicier and, potentially, more flavorful patty.
Officially launching March 5, 2018, Signature Slingers come in two varieties:
- Classic Sonic Signature Slinger - A beef-mushroom patty, lettuce, tomato, diced onions, crinkle-cut dill pickles, and American cheese on a brioche bun. It contains 340 calories compared to the 600 or more calories in a regular Sonic cheeseburger.
- Bacon Melt Sonic Signature Slinger - A beef-mushroom patty, bacon, cheese, and mayo on a brioche bun.
Prices on the new burgers start at $1.99 (may vary).
