They make the Cheese Volcano Pizza by draping the center of pizza dough over a tub-like container, topping the resulting slopes with cheese, and filling the indent caused by the container with cheese sauce.
There are several options for ordering the Cheese Volcano Pizza, which comes in two different sizes and two different Quattro topping options (Quattro is what they call a pizza with different toppings on each quarter of the pizza similar to what Little Caesars did here in the US a while back)
The Cheese Volcano Pizza can be ordered in a large or 40cm size (~15.74 inches or roughly the size of an extra-large pizza here in the US).
For toppings, there's the Cheese Volcano Classic Quattro and the Cheese Volcano Premium Quattro.
The Cheese Volcano Classic Quattro comes topped with the following topping combinations:
- Tropical - Ham and pineapple (i.e. what we would call a "Hawaiian pizza")
- Genovese - Ham, potato slices, garlic-parmesan cheese mix, and a basil sauce base instead of pizza sauce.
- American - Pepperoni.
- Margherita - Fresh mozzarella, basil, and cherry tomatoes.
The Cheese Volcano Premium Quattro includes:
- Chef's Vegetable Special - Onions, corn, ham, cherry tomatoes, spinach, and parmesan cheese mix.
- Giga Meat - Pepperoni, Italian sausage, pork sausage, and bacon.
- Seafood Special - Shrimp, squid, clams, baby scallops, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan cheese mix.
- Goryeo Galbi - Korean-style beef short ribs, green bell peppers, and garlic with no base sauce.
Prices for the 40cm Cheese Volcano pizza starts at 2,590 yen (~$17.43 US), while prices for the large Cheese Volcano pizzas at 1,795 yen (~$12.08 US).
Domino's Cheese Volcano is available in Japan now through February 18, 2024. It's is also currently available over in Taiwan.
