Review: Devour - White Cheddar Mac & Cheese with Bacon

Devour's White Cheddar Mac & Cheese with Bacon features "gemilli pasta in a creamy cheese sauce topped with white cheddar cheese and hearty pieces of applewood smoked bacon."

Gemilli pasta is a long spiral pasta. I came out of the microwave al dente and offered a satisfying chew that contrasted nicely with the sauce.

The cheese sauce and any white cheddar cheese on top was indistinguishable as far as texture goes. The combined sauce was very creamy and thick with a moderate cheddar flavor. In addition to the thickness of the sauce, the pasta had a good amount of nooks and crannies for the it to cling to.

I wouldn't call the bacon "hearty" but there was chewy, meaty bits of bacon here and there to add the requisite smoky saltiness.

Overall, Devour's White Cheddar Mac & Cheese made for a pretty rich and enjoyable mac and cheese eating experience. The pasta was good and the sauce was good. I only wish the bacon was crispy but it turned out as expected for a microwaved frozen meal.
