News: Jack in the Box Testing Oven Bakes

Jack in the Box is testing a new item called an Oven Bake in the Austin, TX area only.  Jack in the Box's Oven Bake comes in four varieties: Philly Cheesesteak and Chicken Spinach & Cheese for later in the day and Egg, Potato, & Bacon and Italian Sausage & Egg for breakfast. All four are rolled up in a crust and baked. They seem a bit like a calzone but rolled up.

The Philly Cheesesteak Oven Bake features sliced steak, melted cheese, and roasted onions and peppers while the Chicken Spinach & Cheese is filled with grilled chicken, melted cheese, and a spinach-pesto spread.

The breakfast Oven Bakes seem to have a more pillowy flatbread crust and are either filled with eggs, potatoes, and bacon or with pieces of Italian sausages and eggs.  They also appear to have melted cheese in them but it could just be egg.

They have a coupon good for today, Tuesday, 16, 2010, only for a free breakfast Oven Bake with the purchase of any drink.  At participating locations in the greater Austin area only!  Do keep in mind that Jack in the Box serves breakfast all day.
