Review: Arby's - Outside-In Cinnamon Bites

Arby's new, limited-time Outside-In Cinnamon Bites are somewhat somewhat gimmicky but different take on the common cinnamon rolls. It's more like a beignet stuff with cream cheese and cinnamon though. Three slightly bigger than bite-sized pieces can be had for a buck.

Each Cinnamon Bite is nice and crusty with just enough slightly flaky crumb to keep it interesting. If you've had a beignet before, the crust will be very familiar. Look and texture-wise, I was reminded or a pizza roll or rather how a pizza roll should be.
The Outside-In Cinnamon Bites aren't very sweet or very cinnamon-y. I'm actually liked that it wasn't too sweet but I'm afraid some might find them too bland.

The filling was just lukewarm and would have been better a little hotter (I'm sure that'll vary though). I got mostly cream cheese flavor with a little cinnamon thrown in. There are two separate fillings inside but I think they're both cream cheese with one being colored brown with cinnamon flavor added. I could have used more cinnamon flavor. Perhaps a dusting on the outside?

As it stands, they're probably closer to Outside-In Cream Cheese Bites.

  1. Look at you, being all fancy with dropping the word "beignet". Next we're going to see you review foie gras and roasted bone marrow.

  2. Haha, beignets are cheap though. I don't think I could afford foie gras or roasted bone marrow.
