Review: Burger King - New Onion Rings

Burger King's new Onion Rings aren't as dramatically different or as heralded as their new Fries. They're more subtly changed but better for it.

I paid $1.29 for a value-sized order.

Let's start with what's the same... The onion rings are still made of dehydrated onions, either in minced or chopped, I can't decide. They don't give the same flavor or texture as actual rings of onion but I'm guessing they help account for the cheaper price and you're never going to pull out the onion and be left with a ring of breading.

The new Onion Rings are also still breaded like the old ones but to a slightly lesser extent then I remember. They're crisp but not quite crunchy.
The biggest change is the taste. The new rings have more of a onion-y (they list onion powder among the ingredients), seasoned quality to them. The old ones were more neutral and kinda bland. The new ones are a bit more salty, but also more flavorful. I like them better than the old ones. I like the new seasoned flavor.

Like BK's fries, I didn't care for and tended to shun the old ones but I'd actually get the new ones.
