Review: Burger King - Donut Holes

I don't think I've ever heard of a fast food chain carrying Donut Holes, but Burger King is offering them for a limited-time. They're bite-sized round balls of glazed yeast donuts.

An order of five cost me $1.49.

These actually come stuck together in sets of two, so that you get two pairs and one torn-off single in each order.

While the texture and taste are fine and pretty much as you'd expect of a yeast donut, they're not fresh and feel like they've been frozen and reheated. The dough is just slightly more rigid and without as much give.

The lack of freshness makes Burger King's Donut Holes a sub-par experience. A better way to go would have been to just have donut holes delivered daily like some supermarkets and convenience stores.

Eating these just made me want fresh donut holes.

  1. These are taken directly out of the freezer and microwaved for 15 seconds. I agree with you that these could be so much better than they are, if they were deep fried.
