News: Frito-Lay - New Stacy's Pretzel Thins

Frito-Lay is branching their Stacy's brand into pretzels with new Stacy's Pretzel Thins.

Offering the taste of a hard pretzel with the thin and crispy texture of a chip or cracker, the new snacks are available in two flavors: Simply Naked and Honey Dijon.

Simply Naked is seasoned with sea salt.

Honey Dijon features the flavor of Dijon mustard sweetened with organic honey.

Since Stacy's is one of Frito-Lay's slightly more upscale brands, Stacy's Pretzel Thins are made with ingredients like sea salt and organic honey with no artificial colors or flavors. Interestingly, they decided to roll out pretzel thins under the Stacy's brand rather than Rold Gold. Considering that Stacy's is known for bagel and pita chips, while Rold Gold only does pretzels, it's a curious choice (I'd have to guess that the target demographic for pretzel thins must have been more in line with Stacy's demo).

Stacy's Pretzel Thins are available in 7-oz bags, carrying a suggested retail price of $3.99.
