Review: Dairy Queen - Red Velvet Cake Blizzard

Dairy Queen's new, limited-time Red Velvet Cake Blizzard features a blend of vanilla soft serve, red velvet cake pieces, and cream cheese frosting.

$3.39 for a mini-sized cup (the price is slightly inflated since it was from the mall).

The red velvet cake pieces were actually the worst part of the Blizzard. At least the big pieces anyway. They were dry and chalky with a rather lackluster flavor. Fortunately, I could just avoid eating them.

The vanilla soft serve and cream cheese frosting combo was pretty nice. They made for a tasty, frosty cheesecake flavor.

Overall, Dairy Queen's Red Velvet Cake Blizzard would probably disappoint red velvet cake fans, but makes for a pretty good cheesecake Blizzard as long as you avoid the bigger chunks of decidedly sub-par cake pieces.
