Review: Jack in the Box - Bacon Insider Burger

Jack in the Box's new Bacon Insider Burger features a beef patty with bacon pieces mixed in, six half-slices of hickory-smoked bacon, bacon mayo sauce, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese on a new brioche bun.

The price tag was $5.19 (same price as the Sirloin Burgers) in my area, but I got this one courtesy of Jack in the Box.

The brioche bun initially felt a little bit unyielding to the touch, but ended up being soft enough, with a little chew and sweetness to it.

Unsurprisingly, the whole burger comes off as very bacon-y and it was glorious! The bacon slices were just a touch crispy, but delivered an enjoyable savory flavor.

The patty was fairly thick and sported a very nice charred crust. The inside was moist with a good amount of bacon flavor.

They didn't go overboard spreading the bacon mayo. It's just like regular mayo but with an extra touch of smokiness.

The lettuce and tomatoes added some texture and a bit of a BLT feel.

The cheese was a bit wasted here. You might catch it here or there, but for the most part, the various forms of bacon covered it up pretty well.

Overall, Jack in the Box's Bacon was really good, especially for bacon lovers. It's a bit pricey but the various ingredients were well-prepared and fit marvelously together.
