According to El Pollo Loco they reformulated their plant-based Chickenless Pollo so that it's now certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association. Chickenless Pollo "blends traditional Mexican flavors in an adobo sauce with a non-GMO soy protein base." It previously contained egg enzymes, which have been removed to make the chicken alternative suitable for a vegan diet.
You can now "Make It Vegan" when ordering a Chickenless Pollo Taco or Burrito. The option removes the cheese in the taco and the cheese and Creamy Cilantro Dressing in the burrito.
