Taco Bell Tests New Loyalty Rewards Program

Taco Bell has begun testing the beta version of their new loyalty rewards program nationally.

Taco Bell Rewards is only accessible through the app when you're signed into your Taco Bell account.

To promote the program, there's a limited-time "free Doritos Locos Taco" reward ready to be redeemed.

There are two membership tiers to the program: Hot and Fire (corresponding with two of Taco Bell's hot sauces). You start in "Hot" where you earn 10 points for every $1 spent through the app. Once you've accumulated 250 points, you can redeemed them for one of the following menu items:

- Bean Burrito
- Chips & Nacho Cheese Sauce
- Cinnamon Twists
- Crunchy Taco
- Medium Fountain Drink

Once you've racked up 2000 points in a calendar year, you'll be in the "Fire" tier. There you'll earn 11 points per $1 spent and can choose from a larger selection of rewards for each 250 points you get, including:

- Bean Burrito
- Chips & Nacho Cheese Sauce
- Cinnamon Twists
- Crunchy Taco
- Medium Fountain Drink
- Chalupa Supreme
- Doritos Locos Taco
- Nachos Bell Grande
- Regular Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze

Fire tier lasts until the end of the year you earned it plus one year after that (although, since Taco Bell Rewards is still testing, it could end before your Fire tier expires).

You also get a free "Birthday Surprise" through the program and there's a "Challenges" tab, which is currently empty, but will have ways for you to earn bonus points.

As the loyalty program is still in testing, they might change things over time.
