KFC Beyond Fried Chicken Coming to Select Locations in Southern California

Calling it an "exclusive sneak peek," KFC is bringing Beyond Fried Chicken to over 50 select restaurants in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego areas starting Monday, July 20, 2020, while supplies last.

The plant-based chicken was developed in partnership with Beyond Meat and promises the flavor of KFC fried chicken with a texture that looks and pulls apart like a chicken breast.

The chain first introduced Beyond Fried Chicken in a very limited one-day test in Atlanta in August of last year. After tweaking the product, they did a larger test in February in the Nashville and Charlotte area.

Beyond Fried Chicken will be available in six- and 12-piece orders as well as a combo (with a side and a medium drink). It will come with a choice of dipping sauce and prices start at $6.99.

Starting July 20, you can find the nearest KFC restaurant serving Beyond Fried Chicken in Southern California by using the restaurant locator on their website and looking for the Beyond Fried Chicken indicator.
