Mod Pizza Adds Plant-Based Italian Sausage to Menu

Mod Pizza adds new, plant-based Italian Sausage made by Plantly to the menu as a permanent topping option.

The new plant-based sausage features a spiced Italian-style crumble that includes non-GMO pea protein, filtered water, expeller-pressed canola oil, fennel, oregano, and thyme. It's good for 12 grams of protein per serving, contains no artificial ingredients, and is vegan, gluten-friendly, and soy-free.

The new plant-based sausage is features as part of The Willow, Mod's Pizza's latest limited-edition "Flash Mod" pizza. The Willow features a creamy garlic parmesan sauce base topped with shredded asiago cheese, ricotta, sliced mushrooms, and plant-based Italian sausage. After baking, it's finished with fresh arugula and a drizzle of smoky romesco sauce. A vegan option is available which replaces the garlic parmesan sauce with a extra virgin olive oil and chopped garlic base and the cheeses with dairy-free cheese alternative and roasted red pepper.

The Willow is available for a limited time through early November 2021.
