Talenti Welcomes New, Chef-Inspired Peanut Butter Crunch Gelato

Talenti welcomes new Peanut Butter Crunch Layers as the first in their new Chef's Collection of "flavors inspired by chefs from around the world."

Available for a limited time as a "special batch" flavor, Peanut Butter Crunch Layers gelato features a layer of chocolate peanut butter cups topped with a layer f vanilla gelato, then a layer of brown butter sugar sauce, than a layer of crunchy graham cracker pieces, and finally a layer of creamy peanut butter gelato.

Talenti Peanut Butter Crunch was inspired by Chef Avishar Barua's "Buckeye Bon Bons", the winning dessert from a Top Chef Quickfire Challenge sponsored by Talenti, which asked the chefs to "create a dessert with at least three layers and a new flavor combination inspired by Talenti Gelato Layer products." The winning dessert offered a riff on peanut butter balls, which are also known as "buckeye balls" or just "buckeyes" due to their resemblance to the nuts from Ohio's state tree.

Peanut Butter Crunch Layers is currently rolling out to retailers nationwide and should cost around $5 or so.
