They're normally $16.99 for a dozen in my area but I received the donuts courtesy of Krispy Kreme.
The S'mores Classic Donut consists of a square yeast shell donut filled with marshmallow Kreme, dipping in Hershey's chocolate icing, drizzled with marshmallow cream and chocolate icing, and topped with graham cracker crumbs, while the S'mores Fudge Cake Donut is a Hershey's fudge cake donut dipped in marshmallow icing, decorated with Hershey's chocolate icing and topped with chocolate chips and graham cracker crumbs.
While they're meant to be s'mores donuts, they're more like chocolate-marshmallow donuts as the fine dusting of graham cracker crumbs on each wasn't substantial enough to impart much of a graham cracker flavor or texture at all.
The S'mores Classic Donut included marshmallow Kreme in abundance with a generous piping on top and within. It's more liquid than Krispy Kreme's typical Kreme filling with a lesser amount of sweetness and an enjoyable marshmallow flavor. The chocolate icing was notably more sweet and mildly chocolaty. The crumb of the donut was light and airy, which is typical of Krispy Kreme.
The S'mores Fudge Cake Donut was surprisingly moist and pretty dense with a fairly strong chocolaty taste. The marshmallow icing wasn't too different from regular icing except that it was not as sweet. The chocolate icing decoration added just a bit more chocolate.
Overall, Krispy Kreme's 2021 S'mores Donuts were pretty enjoyable but didn't quite feel s'mores-like due to the week graham cracker component. The S'mores Classic Donut delivered the oozy marshmallow feeling, while the S'mores Fudge Cake Donut offered a more decadent and prominent chocolate quality. Taking the cake donut of the latter and dipping it into some of the marshmallow Kreme of the former makes for a really nice chocolate-marshmallow combo.
