Positioned as a "flavorful, pub-fare-style sandwich," Wendy's Big Bacon Cheddar features a grilled beef patty topped with applewood-smoked bacon, a new slightly-sweet bacon sauce, crispy-fried onions, American cheese, and a new, creamy, tangy cheddar cheese spread, served on a toasted cheddar bun that basically has a baked-on "waterfall" of cheddar. The new cheddar cheese spread for the burger was inspired by pimento cheese.
The Big Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger makes for the third new burger introduction to the Made to Crave line-up this year. The other two burger added earlier this year were the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger and the Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger.
