The new soda is described by Mountain Dew as "combining the sweet, citrus Dew with a new spicy goodness," which does not sound like it will include the cheesy notes of Flamin' Hot seasoning and sounds more like it'll just be a spicy Mountain Dew but time will tell.
To complement the launch of the new flavor, Mountain Dew partners with clothing brand, Broken Promises, to release a limited-edition apparel line inspired by Flamin' Hot. The line will be available for presale exclusively to subscribers of the Broken Promises' app on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 11 PM EST, while the official launch, which is open to everyone, is on Saturday, September 4, at 11 AM EST, on the Broken Promises' website. The limited-time collection includes shirts, hoodie, sweatpants, and accessories.
