Review: Jack in the Box - Mini Churros

Inside a bag of Jack in the Box Mini Churros.

Jack in the Box's Mini Churros takes your typical churro, chops it into bite-sized bits, and pipes a line of melted, gooey cinnamon sugar through the middle.

A small bag of five churros came out to $1.

These are typically made to order since they're not a high volume sales item (at least not in my area).

Mini Churros taste relatively deep-fried; which is to say, crispy and a little oily.

The filling really sets them apart from other churros as you get a contrast of texture with the crunchy shell giving way to a semi-liquid flow of cinnamon sweetness that might be a bit too sweet for some.

I prefer the more standard non-filled churro but Jack in the Box's Mini Churros are pretty interesting and worth a try, if only for a different churro-eating experience.
