Frozen Friday: Ben & Jerry's - Peanut Butter World

Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter World is a Target-exclusive flavor featuring milk chocolate ice cream with peanut buttery swirls and chocolate cookie swirls.

A pint retails for $4.09 at Target.

I'm a big fan of chocolate and peanut butter and Peanut Butter World did not let me down.

The milk chocolate flavor is achieved by a smooth chocolaty flavor that lacks the darker notes of plain chocolate ice cream. I actually like the darker chocolate notes, but it's usually missing in milk chocolate so there you go.

The peanut buttery swirl is fairly solid in texture and isn't as pliable or moist as peanut butter. It delivers plenty of sweet peanut buttery flavor though.

The chocolate cookie swirls tastes and feel a lot like crumbled Oreo wafers and contain the darker notes of chocolate missing from the ice cream.

The overall effect doesn't feel as rich as the typical super premium ice cream, but Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter World ice cream is very well-balanced and reminds me of a peanut butter Oreo with chocolate milk. It's pretty good stuff. With a name like "Peanut Butter World," you'd think it was peanut butter ice cream with a peanut butter swirl and chocolaty chunks though.
