Review: Wendy's - Bacon Sriracha Fries

Wendy's Bacon Sriracha Fries feature French fries topped with pieces of Applewood-smoked bacon, cheese sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, and the Sriracha aioli.

An order cost me $1.99.

My local Wendy's has a pretty bad track when it comes to getting my order right when it comes to their limited-time topped fries. Out of the last five topped fries, they've gotten my order wrong twice; this occasion counting as the second. When I first ordered the Bacon Sriracha Fries, they ended up giving me Baconator Fries, which is great in terms of eating but not so great for review purposes. Then again, Bacon Sriracha Fries are basically Baconator Fries plus Sriracha aioli, so they weren't off by much I suppose.

So the real question is: Does Sriracha aioli makes Baconator Fries better? I'd say that it does. As long as you're cool with the medium heat (see what I did there?), the sauce adds a bit of a savory depth, a slight tanginess, a touch of garlic, and the aforementioned heat.

Beyond that I got reasonably crisp fries, a well-proportioned amount of cheese (so that I didn't have to scrounge the tray for that last bit of cheese... unless I wanted to), and good-sized crispy pieces of smoky bacon.

For $1.99, Wendy's Bacon Sriracha Fries represent a great value and make an excellent choice for fans of bacon and cheese-topped fries that also want a bit of spicy heat.
