French Roast is Starbucks best selling coffee and its flavor profile is described as smoky, dark and bold with surprisingly low acidity and light body. The suggested price is $9.95 for a pack of 12 individual servings.
In addition to the introduction of Starbucks French Roast Via, Starbucks is also doing a breakfast promotion from January 4 to 10, 2011 where customers can get any breakfast sandwich for $2 with the purchase of any "handcrafted" Starbucks beverage (the cheapest available being a Tall Pike Place Roast brewed coffee for $1.50 which would round your breakfast cost to a total of $3.50).
"Handcrafted" is a more appealing way to say "prepared." I'm going to take that to mean that you can't buy a bottled drink and still get the sandwich for $2.
