Review: Chick-fil-A - Spicy Chicken Biscuit

Chick-fil-A's Spicy Chicken Biscuit takes their normal Chicken Biscuit and kicks it up a notch with a spicy blend of peppers similar to the Spicy Chicken Sandwich launched last year.

They're giving them away all this week and I snagged one on the very first day because free is alway nice and there's a Chick-fil-A on my way to work. The menu price on one is just a bit more than the regular version at $2.35 (compared to $2.19).

So how does it taste? In one sentence: Chick-fil-A's Spicy Chicken Biscuit tastes like a regular Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit but with a fair level of heat (just a little burn on your tongue).
There aren't any real surprises here: the chicken was moist, the batter has some crunch, and the biscuit was very buttery.
The crumbling starts even before the first bite!
I've mentioned before but Chick-fil-A makes a very buttery biscuit and then they split it and spread a little more butter on the inside. Since I'm of the "butter makes everything better" school of thought, I enjoy it very much.
It is a little messy though; the biscuit tends toward being crumbly but it's also quite fluffy veering toward KFC fluffiness.

If you have had a Chicken Biscuit at Chick-fil-A but want one with some heat, you can get one of these or just put some hot sauce on the original. If you're never had one, either version is definitely worth a try and both are very good.
