Frozen Friday: Dairy Queen - Apple Pie Blizzard

Dairy Queen's Apple Pie Blizzard features cinnamon apple pieces, cinnamon pie pieces, blended with vanilla soft serve, and topped with whipped topping and a dusting of cinnamon.

It was $3.39 for a mini-sized cup (due to the mall premium).

Mine didn't come with whipped topping nor cinnamon.

Visually, I couldn't really see much of the diced apples but the chunks and flavor were there and permeated into the soft serve as well. It was a definite but not strong flavor.

The cinnamon pie pieces didn't feel like a typical pie crust at all. They were thinner and more brittle with a hint of cinnamon. They brought to mind a weaker, thinner version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

Overall, Dairy Queen's Apple Blizzard was good in the way that any ice cream is good, but was just okay otherwise. The combination of apple and pie pieces weren't as cinnamon-y as I thought they would be and weren't as apple-y as I wished.
