Review: Thomas - Apple Pie-Flavored English Muffins

Thomas has taken apples and cinnamon to make limited edition Apple Pie-flavored versions of their English Muffins. According to the package, they're both naturally and artificially flavored and contain apples.

I picked up a 13-oz package of six English muffins for $2.50.

Like the delicious Cinnamon Vanilla version, the Apple Pie-flavored muffins have quite the aroma. It's not as powerful as to be smelt across the room, but it'll fill your pantry up with the smell of apples.

Texture-wise, these are the same as their English muffins. There were little bits of apple mixed in, but they didn't really add any difference in mouth-feel. It's not like there was a burst of apple here and there either.

Still, there's a pleasant and enjoyable apple cinnamon flavor through out, like you'd get with a similarly flavored bagel. Unlike a bagel, the crumb is much more airy and light.

Overall, Thomas' Apple Pie-flavored English muffins offer a subtle nod to apple pie in English muffin form. They're nice and might go well as part of a turkey, cheddar, and apple sandwich.
