Frozen Friday: Lean Cuisine - Chicken with Peanut Sauce

Lean Cuisine's Chicken with Peanut Sauce frozen meal features pieces of white meat chicken tenderloins with carrots, broccoli, edamame, and linguini in a sweet and spicy peanut sauce.

A 9-oz box was $2 on sale.

The chicken was pretty tender with not much in the way of seasoning, which makes sense since there's the peanut sauce for that. There was a good amount of chicken to go around.

The peanut sauce was relatively thick with a combination of sweet, creamy, and savory and just the barest hint of heat. It's definitely very peanutty but not to the point that it felt like I was eating peanut butter.

The vegetables were cooked soft but retained a decent flavor. The edamame, in particular, offered the most distinctiveness.

The linguini were likewise cooked until tender but not to the point of mushiness. It wicked up the peanut sauce very well.

Overall, I found Lean Cuisine's Chicken with Peanut Sauce very enjoyable with a nice peanut flavor throughout to go with a decent mix of well cooked stir-fry ingredients. I need a little more heat though if they're going to label it as "spicy."
