The brand has been working with suppliers to remove many of the artificial ingredients common across the industry while retaining the same flavor, and comes as customers trend toward an increasingly concern about what's in their food.
The move is consistent with Pizza Hut's efforts to cast a wider net, so to speak. They recently revamped their menu extensively with new crust flavors and toppings and have also added a gluten-free crust option.
