Review: Jack in the Box - Loco Lime Fruit Cooler

Jack in the Box's Loco Lime Fruit Cooler features syrup made with lime mixed with lemon-lime sparkling soda (i.e. soda water).

$1.99 for a 16-oz cup.

This was more or less what you'd expect Sprite with lime syrup to taste like. The syrup sank to the bottom of my cup, which made for a nice appearance but also means you want to stir it a bit unless you like your soda really sweet.

The syrup adds the tart and just slightly bitter taste of lime to the typical lemon-lime soda flavor as well as an extra dose of sugar. I didn't find the sweetness overwhelming but it was up there.

Overall, Jack in the Box's Loco Lime Fruit Cooler was pretty good and added a welcome real lime note to your standard lemon-lime soda.
