McDonald's Unveils Pumpkin and Chocolate Fries for Halloween in Japan

Adopting a Halloween-inspired color theme, McDonald's Japan is set to debut French fries topped with a drizzle orange pumpkin sauce as well as brown chocolate sauce starting September 28, 2016.

The pumpkin sauce does not appear to be a "pumpkin spice" sauce that floods the market here in the US around this time of year, but an actual pumpkin or pumpkin-flavored sauce.

The new dish is a variation on the limited run of ""McChocolate Fries" that the company introduced early this year in Japan.

The price on the new orange-and-dark-brown fries is 330 yen (~$3.29) and it can be found through the end of October, while supplies last.

This isn't the first time that McDonald's has introduced an orange-and-black Halloween themed item in the country. Back in 2014, they offered a pair of Halloween-themed burgers as well as a Pumpkin Oreo McFlurry.
