Red Robin Release New Burger-Inspired Beer

While beer-inspired burgers are common enough, burger-inspired beers are less so but that's the path that Red Robin takes with the release of new Grilled Pineapple Golden Ale.

Taking its cues from the chain's Banzai Burger and created in partnership with New Belgium Brewing, the new burger-inspired beer will make its first appearance at the Great American Beer Festival that runs from October 6 to 8, 2016 in Denver, CO.

The new ale comes in at 5.5% alcohol by volume and features ginger, brown sugar, and black malt for soy and umani notes rounded out by pineapple and Applewood-smoked malt. Basically, the beer is inspired by the teriyaki and pineapple profile of the burger.

For reference, the Banzai Burger features a flame-grilled patty glazed in teriyaki, grilled pineapple, Cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo on a sesame seed bun.

Unfortunately, if you're looking to try it, it'll only be available in Red Robin locations in Colorado, while supplies last.
