Papa John Launches New Pan Pizza

Papa John's launches new Pan Pizza to round out their available crust selection.

The new crust option is described as "pan baked for a thick, crunchy crust" and comes paired with a new hearty tomato sauce.

Unlike their other crust option, this one only comes in a 12" size

It's set to arrive nationally starting Monday, October 10, 2016 but is already available in some areas. To welcome the new pizza, Papa John's will be offering Pan Pizzas with up to 3 toppings for $10 for a limited time at participating locations. The regular menu price for a 3-topping Pan Pizza is $16.50.

This new crust option was spotted testing earlier this year. This isn't the first time that the chain has offered a pan pizza: they introduced one back in 2005 but eventually discontinued it in 2009.

In addition to the new pan pizza, Papa John's also offered original hand-tossed and thin crust pizzas.

Update 10/10/2016 - The pizza is only available for a limited time. The new crust is described as being made with just seven ingredients: flour, extra virgin olive oil, cold-filtered water, sugar, salt, yeast, and oil. The cheese is meant to go all the way to the edge for a caramelized crust.
