They call it the Easter Påskbord and it'll be available at participating stores nationwide.
The menu includes a sampling of Swedish fare including:
- Assorted varieties of herring
- Deviled eggs with shrimp or seaweed pearls
- Marinated salmon with mustard sauce
- Poached salmon with cucumber dill sauce
- Assorted Swedish cheeses
- Swedish cucumber salad
- Swedish red potato salad
- Crispbread, crisprolls, softbread and thinbread
- Chicken meatballs
- Swedish meatballs with Lingonberry Jam
- Mashed potatoes or boiled dilled potatoes
- Jansson's Temptations
- Swedish ham
- Assorted Swedish desserts and cookies
Fountain beverages and hot beverages are also included.
To attend, you'll need to purchase a ticket. The tickets are priced at $16.99 per person and $4.99 for kids ages 12 and under. Prices for Ikea Family members (the chain's free loyalty program) are a decent amount lower at $12.99 for person and $2.99 for kids 12 and under.
If you're looking to go, you're encouraged to purchase your tickets early from your local Ikea store as seating is limited and likely to sell out. The seating times vary with location (my nearest Ikea will be offering the buffet from 4 to 6:30 PM only).
