Burger King Serves Up a French Fry Burger Minus the Burger in New Zealand

Burger King serves up their take on the British classic Chip Butty, a French fry sandwich, over in New Zealand.

Burger King's Chip Butty features French fries, mayo, and ketchup on a sesame seed bun. The carb-heavy sandwich is part of their Change Range value menu and is priced at $2 NZ (~$1.29 US). It is essentially a pared back version of the French Fry Burger they offered here in the States back in 2013.

Interestingly enough, Burger King UK does not serve a chip butty but they do offer a bacon butty, which is bacon with a choice of either brown sauce or ketchup on a toasted brioche bun (a sausage butty is also available).

While the chip butty is popular enough in the UK (and maybe New Zealand), it's not seen too much here in the US (at least not anywhere I've been). I've only ever seen it on the menu at one fish and chips shop (I tried it out of curiosity and thought it quite plain).
