McDonald's Japan's New Limited-Edition Double Cheeseburger Features Thicker Beef, Thicker Cheese, and Thicker Bacon

McDonald's Japan is in the midst of a promotion where they're offering an upgraded version of the Bacon Double Cheeseburger that features thicker beef patties, thicker cheese, and thicker bacon.

Available through February 11, 2020, the "It's all hot!" Double Cheeseburger (truncated to "Dabuchi") features noticeably thicker beef patties, thick slices of a special blended cheese, and a thick slice of smoked bacon to go with the familiar combination of ketchup, mustard, onion, and pickles on a toasted plain bun.

The thicker cheese features a mix of cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and Camembert powder, which sounds like an elevated take on American cheese.

The price tag on the limited edition Double Cheeseburger is 540 yen (~$4.97 US).

The limited-time promotion also includes a Double Cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and thicker beef patties as well as a Double Teriyaki Mac, which includes two pork patties, teriyaki sauce, mayo, and lettuce on a sesame seed bun (the chain offers a Teriyaki Mac with just one patty on the regular menu).
